(age 55) saw first-hand the benefit of Talbot Hospice a year ago when his
mother, Dorothy (age 90), passed in hospice care. Ever since, Bill has
been an advocate, and jumped at this opportunity to give back to that fine
organization. A single father of two teenage boys, Beau (19) and Cole (16),
this St. Michaels resident has helped the local high school to four state
championships during a 15-year tenure as an assistant varsity baseball coach for
Brian Femi (2002-2017).
resident of Talbot County since 1998, Burton is an extroverted Aquarius raised
in the mountains of Cumberland, MD. He’s spiritual (but not religious), a
coffee snob, an exercise fiend, and a wannabe-vegan foodie. Bill also loves (in
no particular order) movies, history/geography, meditation, music (all genres),
sports, and his girlfriend/soulmate, Talbot Hospice’s own Lori Miller!
his St. Michaels home, Burton teaches aerospace/defense market analysis as the
director of client relations for InfoBASE Publishers. Bill’s sister, Becky,
also is a Talbotian, who retails menswear at Joseph A. Bank. His brother,
Tom (65), is a retired journalist/hippie who resides in Raleigh, NC.
