My name is Matt Guthrie. I have lived in
Easton, Md since 1972. My wife Gretchen and I live just outside of town
and love all the eastern shore has to offer. I have two grown children, Carlye,
and Jason who live on the western shore.
I work at
Johnson Lumber Company in Longwoods, MD as a supervisor. I served 4 years in
the United States Coast Guard, and sold automobiles at various dealerships
around the area. And way back when, was the bar manager at the Washington
Street Pub, the Inn at Perry Cabin, Asst. Manager at the Robert Morris Inn, and
a Friday night bartender at Yesteryears.
I am thrilled to
have been invited to run in the Talbot Hospice Drag Race!!
I have a very
special place in my heart for this truly spectacular institution.
My father Dr.
Eugene Guthrie, or Buck, as many knew him by, was the founding director of
Talbot Hospice!! I am running in this race to help raise money and awareness
for this much needed and wonderful place that provides such wonderful care to
all who need end of life care. And also in honor of my Dad!! I hope I can make
Talbot Hospice by donating on my page on the Talbot Hospice website!! Hope to
see y'all at the race on September 24th, and thank you in advance any and all
of your donations!!
Thank you for your support towards this event and to the Festival of Trees which benefits Talbot Hospice.
