Hello! I’m Trey Rider, an Eastern Shore native and Realtor and Partner at Meredith Fine Properties. I’ve walked the streets of Easton my whole life, but never dressed as a woman! What’s another first, though, after a year of big change for the Rider family?

Many of you know me from my years as a mortgage banker, working alongside my dad Rick Rider. After 15 years on the financial side of the industry, I decided to switch gears last year and become a Realtor and Partner with Meredith Fine Properties. I couldn’t be more thrilled to serve the real estate needs of the community in which I grew up!

After graduating from Easton High School, I attended Washington College in Chestertown, where I met my wife Kari, who owns the Easton-based event planning and design company Kari Rider Events. Kari and I live on the Tred Avon River with our sons Ivey and Nolan, who are following in their father and grandfather’s lacrosse footsteps!

Community has always meant a lot to me, which is why I’ve dedicated much of my free time to volunteering. I serve on the board of directors for the Mid-Shore Board of Realtors, the Talbot Country Club and the Talbot Lacrosse Association, in addition to volunteering with Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity and Character Counts.

I couldn’t be more excited to add Talbot Hospice to this list. They provide unparalleled care, compassion and support during a time of intense vulnerability. I can’t say enough good things about the work they do!

I personally witnessed the Hospice organization’s amazing work last year at the end of my mother in law’s battle with pancreatic cancer. After a two-year fight, Janice Pinkerton passed away in the care of Hospice last November. She attended the Pump It Up for Hospice fundraiser with us many times over the years, and battled to make it out for last year’s running. An amazing woman who was loved by all, Pinky is sorely missed. I am both honored and saddened to be running in her memory this year.
